SHARK ATTACK
In a constant effort to avoid getting various brain-degenerating diseases as an "old person," I try to learn a new fact everyday. Well, I guess I'm more apt to think of this grand quest when I hear an interesting fact, but at that moment I think, "I should really try to learn a new fact every day..."
Which was exactly the case today as I was watching a thrilling episode of MythBusters on the Discovery Channel. It's a special Shark-Myth day where the guys are testing myths that have to do with the movie JAWS to see what of it could have actually happened. So far, MythBusters 2, Hollywood 0. (It's not quite over. I had to hurry into my room to blog about what I learned so that I wouldn't forget!) I'll keep you updated...
So the fact for the day is, (now everyone try really hard to remember this so we don't all end up at the Funny Farm together,) Coconuts kill 10 TIMES more people each year than sharks!! Whoa! No kidding. Lesson for the day: it's perfectly okay to swim in shark infested waters, just try to make sure there are no coconut trees around.
Okay, I have to get back to find out if punching a shark in the nose will stop it from eating you alive.

Death by coconut wouldn't be a bad way to die...I can think of worse!
