Shopping
When I go shopping with my sisters, it's like we're shopping in 2 completely separate worlds. I pick up sweaters that would look really cute on a chilly winter day in the desert, and they're buying matching shirts for their kids to wear for family photos. I'd have a hard time with that, but I guess that's why I don't have kids.
(stick with me here...)
Running was supposed to be a cheap sport. And really, that's 88% of the reason I chose IT over, say biking or kayaking. (have you seen the price of kayaks lately?!?!) Anyway, as I was on my fun day-off-of-work shopping venture I found myself at the Sport's Authority. (disclaimer: there are lots of other great sporting goods stores out there and this blogger does not necessarily endorse the sports authority, unless of course they want to start sending me free stuff.) Anyway. Back to shopping. And NOT having kids.
As much as I would like to get a new (and first) pair of super cute RocketDogs, or some jeans and shirts that are actually long enough for me, I'm spending $60 at the Sport's Authority for a tee-shirt that I'm going to get all sweaty and stinky in.
And just like my sisters, who talk about things like ease of changing diapers with certain onesies or stain resistant baby clothes, I am am amazed at the magical quality of Under Armour shirts (which I totally endorse!) that keep me dry, and a little less swaeaty in. Oh, and spending $12 on a pair of socks, That are white. Simply because they (supposidly) will help my feet from blistering. Weird.
Shopping will just never be the same...
